We refer to ourselves as Hermesa, we or us in these terms.

By using this website you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

3. We may change the site and these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date above shows when they were last changed. We may also change, suspend or withdraw the site, or any part of it, without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or uninterrupted.

4. Nothing on this site is advice, an offer or an invitation to invest

Hermesa is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not give investment advice.

The content of this site is general information about Hermesa and about angel investing. It is not investment, tax or legal advice, and you should not treat it as such. Nothing on this site is an offer, an invitation or an inducement to invest in any company or in any Hermesa vehicle.

Angel investing carries a high risk of losing all the money you invest. If you are considering it, you should take your own advice and read our risk warning.

Membership of Hermesa is subject to separate terms, which we provide when you apply to join. Nothing on this site forms part of those terms or creates any obligation on us to admit you as a member, to present any investment to you, or to invest in any company.

5. Information about our portfolio and our track record

Information about our portfolio companies, our activity and our community is accurate as at the date it was published and may become out of date. Portfolio companies are early stage businesses and their circumstances change. Where we describe what we have done in the past, that is not a guide to what will happen in future. Past performance does not indicate future results.

6. Applying to us

Where you submit an application, an enquiry or any other material through this site, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate, that you are entitled to provide it, and that providing it does not breach anyone else's rights or any obligation of confidence you owe. We will handle personal information in line with our privacy notice.

We are not obliged to consider, respond to or return any material you send us, and we may decline an application without giving reasons.

Some questions on our forms are marked as optional. Leaving them blank will not affect how we deal with your application or enquiry.

7. Our content, and other people's

We own or are licensed to use everything on this site. The Hermesa name, logo and brand are ours. You may read, print and share pages of this site for your own information or to tell someone else about us, but you may not copy, reproduce or use our content commercially, or present it as your own, without our written permission.

Logos, names and descriptions of portfolio companies and of the investors we have invested alongside belong to those organisations and are used to identify them factually. Nothing on this site transfers any right in them to you, and their appearance here does not imply that they endorse Hermesa or are associated with it beyond the investments described. If you own one of these marks and would prefer that we did not use it, please contact us and we will remove it.

8. Things you must not do

You must not misuse this site. In particular you must not introduce anything malicious, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, scrape or harvest its contents systematically, or use it in any way that is unlawful or that could damage it or interfere with anyone else's use of it. We may withdraw your access if you do.

9. Links to other sites

Where this site links to other websites, those links are provided for information only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss arising from your use of them.

10. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Otherwise, we exclude all conditions, warranties and other terms that might otherwise apply to this site or to any content on it. We will not be liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity, or for any loss arising from your reliance on any content on this site.

We collect and use personal information in line with our privacy notice and our cookie policy, which form part of these terms.

12. Law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
